The ignitors on my stove do not work (oven works fine). I assume I have a bad spark module, since I see 2 ignitor wires coming out of the spark module - one going to each side of the stove top. Neither side sparks, so I assume it is the spark module. How can I test them and if possible the spark module to determine what I need to order?
ANSWER Don, There is no test for the spark module 316135700 , you'll need to elimnate the other ignition components (process of elimination). To test the Igniters, place one meter probe on the tip of the igniter 316081705 and the other probe on the wire terminal at the spark module, you should read a "closed" circuit on the meter. You would then circuit test each of the igniter switches 316219013 for a "closed" circuit when the knob or switch is in the "ignite" position. If all checks are proper, then the issue has to be in the spark module.
