the hot surface light shorted out , now the oven won t work if I replace the indicator light will that fix the oven?

ANSWER Rob, Sorry, but no replacing the "hot surface" indicator light, will not solve the issue with the oven. You do need to remove the control panel rear cover panel and check for damaged wires in the control panel and make sure you have the proper power supply to the range. These are two separate, individual circuits, and the L1 circuit/wire is the common link at this point. Unless you have two issues as a coincidence. Good Luck and Thanks
