The dishwasher door has gradually started extending too low when fully opened, which causes the bottom tray to not roll out smoothly onto the door. I noticed that the right door hinge seems slightly bent, but not in a manner that would seem to cause this door extension issue. What might otherwise cause this problem? Also, if I need to replace the hinges, I noticed that the left hinge in your photo appears silver in color and the right hinge is black. Have I identified the correct hinges for this model? Lastly, it appears that the plastic spring linkage piece is included with the hinge. Is this correct (i broke one while checking out this problem).
ANSWER Jeff, There are several things you need to check for your complaint. Check the front frame pivot for damage or being bent. check the door liner inner mounting brackets for distortion or damage, loose mounting screws, etc. Yes, the hinges are different colors, this is to distinguish which hinge goes on which side, but it is highly reccomended you replace both at the same time. And yes the plastic spring spacer does come with the hinge assembly.
