Front load washer. It makes a loud noise, of loud clicks and whining - continuously at spin cycle, with no spin and no draining. But the wash function seems fine. So if I have no spin cycle do I need a new motor? (it looks like in this model I have to replace the entire motor, the motor coupler is not sold seperately. Is this right?

ANSWER Hi Paul. Remove the back cover. Remove the belt. Hand spin the tub in both directions to see if there re any debris dragging the tub or if the rear bearing is shot. Hand spin the motor shaft and see if its bearings are shot part # 134869400. Remove the pump part # 137108000 inlet hose and see if any debris are inside the pump impeller. Replace the pump if the impeller is spinning loose on the pump shaft. It is common to find debris build up in the pump inlet hose and sump collector cup. Remove the cup and when it is clean, reinstall it in the 3rd top rib of the sump hose. Thank You.
