I received the new part but on the existing unit there is a sensor which goes thru the large plastic bottom and there is no hole to put it through

ANSWER John, are you sure you used the correct sump housing and followed the instructions ? " 1.Per Factory This Kit Contains 2) Orings, 2)sump Housings, 2.Instructions, 1) Bracket/Motor And 1) Pump & Motor Assy". If necessary, you could re use the original sump assembly, if theres no damage to it.
