I have been getting an F1 code and oven turns off, have been having to reset to no avail. I bought and installed EOC last night,
from your company. Today, it F1 again . Only other thing in my service data sheet for oven under F! fault code is a lock motor switch. Oven has F3 in past on occasion and very few times. What is purpose of lock motor switch?
ANSWER Hello Mark,
The F1 error code indicates an electronic control 316101001 failure. F3 indicates a shorted sensor316134900. You can check the sensor which should ohm out at about 1100 ohms at room temperature. If you are not getting this ohm reading then you would want to replace oven sensor. The error code you would get for latch assembly would be F8. You should double check all your wiring to ensure that there are no loose or damaged wires. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
