The bottom element does not get hot or even warm. The top one works fine but I didnt hear a pop or have a fire in the oven. I was wondering if it could be the element or if there was something else could cause this issue.

Andrea for Model Number fef354gbb

ANSWER Hello Andrea, This model can only have two problems if the broil works and bake does not. One is the element, and the other is a relay on the board. You can test this from the board with a test meter. First turn the power off to the unit. Access the control board and remove the yellow wire from the BK (bake) terminal. Make sure there is no way the yellow wire can touch anything and turn the power back on to the unit. Put the unit on bake and test from ground to the terminal you removed the wire from. If there is 120Vac, the bake element has failed. If there is no voltage on the terminal, replace the control 316557114. Be careful not to touch the yellow wire as there will be 120Vac from L2 on it while the unit is on. Turn the power back off to replace the wire and the part so you don't get a shock.
