When I preheat my oven it turns on, then it will beep, but it has not reached the set temperature. Set at 350 degree only heats to about 300 degrees. If I cancel and reset to preheat it will come up to the correct temperature the second time.
Do I just need a new baking element or do you think it is something else?

ANSWER Hello Marilyn. Test the oven sensor and make sure it is ohming out properly. If so, you will need to order and replace the control on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
