On occasion when using the oven, the oven gets way hotter than the temperature entered and eventually we get an F1 error. We have to trip the circuit breaker to reset the oven. According to the service data sheet we might have to replace the EOC, which I assume is the Electronic Oven Control (Part number 318239700?), or we might need to replace the "RTD". What is the RTD and can you tell me the part number? How would one know which part to replace?
ANSWER Hello Joe,
The RTD is the oven sensor. You will want to do a resistance check on the oven sensor. The sensor at room temperature should be 1090 ohms. If it does not read this then you would need to replace the sensor. If your oven sensor ohms out properly then check your wiring from the sensor to control. If this checks ok then you will want to replace the EOC 316272204.
