Our oven is not heating properly - it is about 5 years old. It does heat but basically to a warm setting - the bottom element never even reaches a glowing state - however it is getting warm/hot. I checked the outlet and it is reading correct. The surface elements work fine - the broiler seems to work fine. Do you have any idea what the problem may be?
ANSWER Hello Mike. Either the element is bad, or the wiring is bad, or the clock is bad on the unit. You need to test the element, and if it is good, check the wiring on the unit. If the element and wiring is good, then it is the clock on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
