Water not draining properly from washing machine, standing water at bottom of washer.
I removed tape that was holding(very securely, air tight)the washer’s drain hose to the house drain. Water in hose was then drained; it had a very offensive smell like raw sewage. Then setting the washer to drain, the pressure was so great it was necessary to hold the washers drain hose in the house drain and water would back flow/blow out the top of the house drain.
I cleaned the house drain line, as best I could with a snake, then flush it, by putting a garden hose in on full blast (pressure 110 PSI) for two or three minutes a few times. I did get some water blowing back past the rag stopper wrapped around the hose end from around the top of house drain, held down tightly by my hands. But still the washer’s drain hose blows out water from the top of the house drain.
Can you give me ideas to get this to drain properly?
Why did the water in the hose smell so bad and I mean bad?
ANSWER Hello Paul. Try the unit again. If the problem continues, you may need to replace the pump and motor assembly 131268401 on the unit. If the drain pipe in the house is backing up, that could be the issue of the pump going bad. Hope this helps.
