My washer was working properly on a load, then it started humming about halfway though the draining cycle. When I opened the washer I could see that it was not draining. The washer will spin as though it is draining but it remains full. I suspect that the pump may have failed. I just need to know how I can check if the pump has indeed failed or if it is plugged up. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.
ANSWER Hello Misha. Remove the screws at the bottom of the front panel and slide it down and remove it off the unit. Then you can access the pump and look for a clog. Be aware when you release the hose, all the water will come out onto the floor.
