My ice maker floods. I replaced the water valve(s) and no help. Removed the ice maker and checked the components, all appear OK. I suspect the water level too high and leaking onto the cam (freezing) causing the water to keep running the next cycle. There was ice on the bottom of the front cover when I removed the ice maker. Does my diagnosis sound reasonable or should I look further?
Charles for Model Number FRS23KF7AQ1 Ice Maker
ANSWER Hello Charles. If the water valve is new, then it sounds like the icemaker may be to blame and will need to be replaced. Try filling a cup with water and see if water comes into the icemaker. If not, replace the icemaker 5303918277. If so, the diode may need to be replaced.
