My ice maker has slowed down considerably over the last few months. The water comes in fine and the cubes seem to be about the right size, possibly a little overfill which I understand is adjustable and they are frozen solid. But it seems like the cycle time is very slow. Could it be a timer, a thermostat or something like that? Is there a solution other than replacing the icemaker?

ANSWER Hello Frank. Check and make sure the freezer is running around 0°. If not, it will cause the slow cycle time.
