I have received the part removed the old one and inserted the new one, it would not work, seemed like water was not going thru.?
the Original problem was when the ice was ready to dump into box it would dump two cubes I would have to manually remove them in order for the ice maker to continue to work. So I thought I'll try to replace the ice maker to see of the works. I know the part is correct but maybe there is some adjustment that need to be done in order for it to work? or is the ice maker defective?
The first thing that you always want to make sure of is that the water filter is good on the unit. The next thing that you want to check is to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If the fill tube is frozen then it will need to be cleared and you would want to replace the water valve due to seeping, which means a little water is trickling through the valve and flash freezing in the tube.
