Originally, the igniter would glow white hot, but the oven would not light. Now, with the stove disassembled and no gas connected, the igniter does not come on, and the 124 VAC was read not at the igniter, but between the now open leads that I removed from the safety valve. BTW, I read 2.2 ohms across the valve.
ANSWER Hello Charles. The leads on the gas valve 3203459 do not need to be unhooked. Keep them hooked to the gas valve, then do the test. The igniter should come on then. If unhooked, you break the circuit.
