The water valve leaked water and the dishwasher sat in about 1/2 for sometime. I fixed the valve and water goes into the dishwaser but it does not wash or darin the water. There is some rust on the pump and corotion on the turbidity sensor? What can I do?

Tim for Model Number FDBB4365FC3

ANSWER Tim, You could try and clean the deposits off the sensor, using hot water and distilled white vinegar or a citric acid based cleaner. Soak the "clear end of the sensor, then use an old tooth brush to scrub and clean it, just be very carefiul. For the motor, first thing to try, remove the lower wash arm, support and filters, remove the volute cover 154245501, and use your finger or screwdriver and turn the impeller several revolutions, this should "break" the shaft seal and shaft loose and the motor may run fine from then on.
