The water dispenser on the front of the fridge dispenses water on its own it will fill a 16 oz cup in a few hours. Is this some type of switch that is going bad?

ANSWER Heloo Bill. If the dispenser is dripping and leaking, you will need to order and replace the water valve. If the dispenser just comes on and turns off to fill the glass, you will need to order the diode kit 240567001 and replace it on the unit.
