I have a Kenmore double wall oven that is not heating properly. At first, it was just the top oven. When you would set the oven to a specific temperature, the oven would beep telling you it was heated to the right temperature. In actuality, the oven was not ready and would not reach the right temperature. We switched to using the bottom oven only, which at the time seemed to be working fine. But now after several weeks the bottom oven is behaving the exact same way. So now both ovens beep stating they are at the "correct" temperature and ready to bake, when in actuality neither of them are heating to or maintaining a correct temperature. Do I have a switch issue, a thermostat issue, or a control board issue?
ANSWER Hello Brendan. Test and make sure the voltage coming to the unit is correct. Make sure the oven sensors read around 1100 ohms at room temp. If all is good, you will need to order and replaced the control board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
