My unit heats just not very well. I have already replaced the control board and checked the high limit. Does this thermister control the temp., or is it just another thermal ?
Steve for Model Number fgbd2431ko
ANSWER Hi Steve. There is a supplied tech sheet in the unit by the control board or behind the toe kick plate. Use it to put the unit in a field service test mode. It will individually test the components. Then it will show a fault code for the effected circuit. The thermistor does sense the sump water temperature. Part # 154227501. Connector P5 sends the board voltage to the Hi- limit thermostat. It will read closed. To then pass on the voltage to the heater which ohms out to 9.28 ohms. Part # 154825001. Make sure all connectors are all clean and tight. Connector p3-2 at the board will send voltage to the blower system that ohms to 214 ohms (if supplied in your unit). Thank You.
