how do you check the cycling thermostat with a multimeter?
ANSWER Jim, When the thermostat is at room temperature, if you remove the wires from the terminals, you should read a "closed" circuit across the two(2) larger steel terminals. The two(2) smaller, brass colored terminals should have a resistance reading of approximately 24,000 ohms, when tested. Good Luck and Thanks
