My dishwasher fills ok, pumps out ok, but does not pump/spray to wash the dishes no matter what cycle is chosen. A buzzing noise can be heard in the area of the control knob. Do you think this is a bad timer or is there a relay somewhere?

ANSWER Hello J.H.,
This sounds like a bad circulation pump. It could be the timer, but if you test for voltage at the motor, you can easily isolate it. If you have voltage at the circulation motor, the motor has failed. If you no voltage at the circulation pump, you have a bad timer.
