My washer completes a wash cycle, but will not drain or spin.
The timer seems to advance to the drain position, then everything stops.
I can't even get it to drain by manually advancing the timer. I've tried all of the locations on the timer dial where is should drain ... nothing at any of them.
This seems to indicate the drain pump, but I've taked the drain pump out (oh, what a joy that was), and applied A/C power directly to it ... and it spins.
I put the drain pump back in ... no joy.
ANSWER Hello Dave. Check the lid switch and make sure it is good. If so, test for power to the pump. If there is power and the pump does not run, replace the pump. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
