I have the trunnion off and am replacing the tub seal kit because the tub was leaking at the shaft. I was wondering about this replacement trunnion, does it have a sleeve pressed into it. I noticed on mine where the seal kit upper piece goes against the trunnion, the trunnion sleeve, which appears to be brass is sorta chipped. Will this need to be replaced also?

ANSWER Jimmy, These are "water related" parts, anything chipped, rusted, or rough, needs to be replaced, or you'll have an ongoing leak. The "brass" ring you're describing, should be the upper portion of the tub seal kit, and you'll be removing and replacing it with the seal kit
