Water runs out of icemaker. Would that be from water valve not shuting off at the right time,and causing it to run over?

ANSWER Hello John. Yes, it sounds like the valve is not shutting off fast enough. Check and make sure the gear on the icemaker is not sticking. If it is good, replace the valve. Hope this helps.
