My Icemaker looks to be working but I do not get water in it to make ice. I checked the water valve I can get water from the Dispenser but when the icemaker starts it's cycle to drop ice the water valve for the icemaker does not let water out. Does the water valve need to be replaced?
ANSWER Hi Rick. There is a fill tube coming from the back of the cabinet supplying water to the ice maker. Check to see if it is clear. You might have to twist and pull it out to see the clog. You can put it under the hot water at the sink to clear it out. The ice maker will send the 120vac to the water valve to let water into the ice maker. If You find the fill tube frozen, Then replace the water valve part # 240531001. The ice maker is part # 5304458371. Thank you.
