How do you get the plastic water tubing from icemaker off of the water inlet valve?

ANSWER If your valve is like the one in the picture it has the newer JohnGuest fitting. You have to depress the white ring that goes around the water line against the water valve body, this should release the locking teeth and the line should pull out. The older fitting were just compression nuts that screwed off.
