Hi. I have the Fridgerator FGHD2433KF1. When I start any cycle, you can hear the water filling. When it appears to complete, it never kicks into another cycle. The timer on the front panel never counts down. When I open the door, you can see wanter in the basin. When I close the door, the timer still shows but still does not kick into another cycle or counts down. If I cancel, the water drains and appears ready to start again. If I do start it again, it does the same thing. Fills up with water, but that's as far as it goes. It does seem to make a loud noise when filling.
ANSWER Hello Bryan. You need to test the heater and thermostat on the unit and make sure they read closed for continuity. If so, you will need to order and replace the control board 154815601 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
