Why are the center holes of Parts AP2028218 and AP2028217 different diameters?

ANSWER Hello Steve! Its a manufacturer design for the two parts. Unfortunately, we do not have the specs or known reason as to why the manufacturer would manufacture the drip pans with different diameters. Sorry about that.
