We recently did a load including a washable "rubbery" bathtub mat, as we have done many times before. This time, it looks like something (probably the agitator) sliced a triangular chunk out of the mat approx 4-5 inches on each side (straight, even cuts). When the load was done, water had leaked out of the bottom of the washer, and the chunk was missing. I am concerned that it might have slipped under the agitator, or somewhere else where it may be blocking the water drainage. I was unable to figure out how to remove the agitator based on previous questions, and I am not sure where else to look for the missing piece of the mat. Any suggestions?
ANSWER Hello Marc. You need to disassemble the pump and look for the mat inside the pump. Most likely, this is where you will find it.
