My bake element don't work, So I unplug the oven then proceeded to remove the bake element when I saw one wire was not connected (yellow) and upon closer inspection I see that the top portion of the wire is burnt and the connector is also. My question is if I clip off the damaged part of the wire and put a new connector on it will that fix the problem? The baking element doesn't look bad at all or do I need to replace it to.
If the bake element wire was burnt and the connector damaged, this can certainly cause the unit to no work. You can try to clip it off and put a new terminal on but if it is still not working then you will want to check to see if you are getting 240 vac with the unit set to bake at the control panel between L1 and bake. If there is 240 vac then the control would need to be replaced.
