Clothes are getting stuck on the interior part of the dryer just above the door. They are getting stuck and twisted out of shape with black marks that do not wash out!. Also, it will squeal very loudly and the drum seems to be off. Do I need to replace the front and rear bearing to fix the squealing? Would a new felt seal keep the clothing from getting snagged?

ANSWER Erin, With the space in between the drum and the front then you would want to replace the front bearing slide. It sounds like it may have worn off. Also you would want to check the rear bearing for wear but if it looks ok then would not need to replace.
