Thanks in advance. This washer is about 6 years old. Seems to work properly and go through all cycles. However on spin cycle it is very loud, not banging or knocking, just very loud "like an airplane". The faster it spins, the louder it gets. Removed front panel and belt. Motor spins smooth. If I rotate the drum by hand with belt off, noise can be heard and felt - like a bad bearing. Thinking tub bearing or shaft & mode shifter assembly. Any Thoughts?
ANSWER Hello John. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the shifter assembly WH38X10017 is bad n the unit. It is best to replace the bearing WH2X1198 and seal WH02X10032 when replacing the shifter to prevent the unit from leaking around the bearing and seal.
