I just replaced the dryer wheel and clamps. My new dryer wheel keeps sliding foward causing a loud squealing noise which is why I replaced the old one. How do I keep this from continuing?
ANSWER Doug, Check and make sure you didn't over torque the retainer screw and distress the back "clamp" portion of the retainer. Check the end of the motor shaft, make sure it's not distressed and damaged from the previous blower whell mishap. Make sure you have the blower whell installed as close to the back of the housing as possiible wihout rubbing the housing.
