The Broiler coil burned clean through and the metal kept burning. The Off switch did not do anything to stop the coild from heating. I had to turn the power off to the stove. Of course I need a new coil, but is the "off" switch bad ? THANK YOU

ANSWER Robert, Based on your post, you definitely need a new broil element WB44K5009 Before you replace the control WB27T10282 , When you replace the element, Check for 120 to 220 VAC across the two wires that attach to the element, There should be no voltage, unless the relay on the clock or wiring is damaged. Good Luck and Thanks
