The fridge was not defrosting, replaced both the defrost timer and the defrost heater with thermostat. Both were tested electrically bad and we are wondering if we've had some sort of power surge. Now we are having problems with the temperature in both the freezer and the fresh food side, fridge at 60 tdy, freezer 30. I am wondering which part to replace next, this control temp or the brain? Is is possible I have a problem which is causing these parts to burn out? thxs.

ANSWER Hello Jim. Make sure you got all the ice melted off the coils in the freezer. If not, it can block the air flow causing cooling issues. If it is clear, you could have a bad temperature control WR09X10016. Hope this helps.
