Noticed that freezer temp was warming up, followed by the fresh side. I checked compressor (it was warm and humming to touch), coils were relatively clean, both fans are working. Freezer is now holding at 46, fresh side is almost room temp with it constantly running. From what I have read, I suspect either the defrost thermostat (WR50X122) or the Temp control (WR9X521)
I also wanted to check the freezer/fresh sides drainage, but could not find drain pan and did not know how to check the line from the bottom of the condenser at back of freezer side. Would you just run warm water in it? Does the fresh side have a drain line that should be checked?
ANSWER Hello Hunter. No, based on the information you provided, either the start relay is bad, or you have a sealed system failure in the unit and will need an HVAC tech.
