My freezer is not freezing and fridge not cold i hear motor running and air is blowing in freezer but not freezing. There is warm air coming out the bottom of fridge like its suppose to but dont hear anything kicking on in the fridge part to cool it ?
ANSWER Jasper, There is nothing "kicking on" to cool the refrigerator compartment. The cold air from the freezer compartment is transferreed to the fresh food compartment through the damper assembly [AP3775595} If neither compartment is cool enough, the first thing to check is the freezer compartment back wall, If there is a heavy frost or ice build up on the back wall, this indicates a defrost issue, causing a lost of air flow in the refrigerator. The warm air from the front of the refrigerator, basically indicates the condenser fan is running, but it could be running slow, or the condenser coil, could be clogged or restricted with lint, hair, dust etc. this can also reduce the efficiency and cooling of a refrigerator.
