My kenmore refrigerator is not cooling from the refrigerator side. When I unplug it and defrost all the ice in the freezer side, it works for about two weeks perfectly, until it starts building ice on the freezer side and stops cooling on the refrigerator side. How do I know if I need to replace the defrost thermostat or the defrost heater? Thanks for any help I can get.
ANSWER Hello. You can test the heater and thermostat with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity when cold. Hope this helps.
