The temp in both freezer side and refrigerator side raise above acceptable limits. Then they start working again. This is unpredictable as to when it happens or how long it lasts. Any suggestions?

Ted for Model Number 363.9565414 Kenmore side/side

ANSWER Ted, It sounds like the defrost timer may be sticking when coming out of the defrost cycle. The defrost should last approximately 30 minutes and may be lasting longer. You would want to check to see if the fans are running at the time the unit stop cooling and if they are not then behind the light shield in the refrigerator is where the timer is. Turn the timer and see if the unit comes on. If it does then replace the timer.
