Is the WR49X10173 heater kit compatible for my GE model? I have installed the kit and spliced into the two white wires connected to pins 2 and 6 which appear to be connected to a original (useless) heater and show 11+ VDC. However, the new heater does not seem to be generating much, if any heat at all. Do I need to defrost the frozen line first and give the heater a chance? It has been 18 hours and line is still frozen.
