My assumption is that for a 2 burner electronic ignition that if only one side is working (no matter which way the burner is installed), then the unit needs to be cleaned. Recommended products?

ANSWER Richard, Use hot soapy water to clean the exterior of the assembly, allow the assembly to dry thoroughly (use a hair dryer to speed up the process), Then use a fine point awl, or large sewing needle to clear / clean all the openings (venturi) at the top and side (pilot holes) of the burner. Check and make sure the ignition tubes are properly aligned to the igniter and the bottom of the burner pilot holes.
