GE front loader makes a terribly loud noise only during spin cycle. The pulley appears to be taut and no play. What could be causing this problem? Thanks in advance
ANSWER Hi. Remove the 3-screws on the top back lip. Slide the top back, up and off. Look at the tub weight bolts to see if they are loose. Make sure both tub top springs are hooked in the top of the frame plastic connectors. Remove the front lower cover and see if any one of the shocks are broken. If they are leaking grease or oil then replace them all. Shock part # WH01X10343. Look at the lower tub weight bolt also. Make sure the shock pins are connected at the bottom of the frame. If it sounds like a train instead of a jet during spin, then the rear outer tub part # WH45X10071 bearing and the inner tub part # WH45X10079 shaft is worn out. Thank You.
