Hi I have an old General Electric electric dryer (at least 20 years old) with model # DDE7200NCLAV. The belt has snapped and I'm looking for a replacement. I haven't found anything online regarding the above dryer model number but this belt (model WE12x82) seems to come up quite often in searches. Can you verify whether or not this belt will work with the dryer model I have? Also do you know where I could find instructions/ diagrams to walk me through the replacement process (perhaps one of the above links will do the trick...not sure)? Thanks!
ANSWER Hello Brian, that is the part number that you will need. To access it you'll need to remove the front panel of the dryer. Once that is out of the way the belt will slip around the drum. You'll then have to route it over the idler pully and around the motor pulley. There is a picture of the routing of the belt on the part page you posted your question on. Thanks.
