ANSWER To take the cabinet off. Disconnect the dryer from the electrical outlet. This will prevent shock that could result in death. In the back of the dryer, near the bottom, you will see a lower panel; unscrew and pull the panel away. If the model is older, you will need to remove the drum bearing inspection plate which is located in the center back of your dryer. Remove the plate that is held in place by one single screw. Set the screw to the side. Remove the front panel of the dryer. With older models, there will be two spring clips under the cabinet top, one on each side. Using a putty knife, slip the putty knife into the gap at the spring clip. Push the spring clip back to release the spring clips. Lift up on the cabinet top. In newer models, screws join the cabinet front panel to the cabinet top. Open the door of the dryer to find the screws and remove them. Loosen the two screws found in each side of the bottom panel. At the top of the panel there will be two screws, remove them. Remove the two screws which you loosened in the bottom panel and set them aside. Disconnect the group of wires connecting the door. Lift the front panel off the dryer and set it aside. Hope this help!
