My icemaker seems like its overflowing. I did replace it with a new style icemaker, but it seems like its getting too much water. I will adjust the icemaker fill screw, but could this be the water inlet valve. We've noticed on occasion that the water from the water dispenser goes on for a second or two after we pull away the cup as well. But tha this very inconsistent. The icemaker however always seems to overflow.

ANSWER Hello James,
Yes it could be the water valve not seating fully causing the icemaker to overfill. You would also want to make sure that you have adequate water pressure which could cause the valve to not fully seat. If the water pressure to the unit is less than 20 PSI this could happen. The ideal water pressure is between 40 to 60 PSI.
