I have a two year old GE intermittently making noise from the evaporator fan. If I push in slightly with a screwdriver, the noise goes away. What parts do you think I need to fix it and how hard are they to replace?
ANSWER Hello Sandy,
The evaporator fan motor TJWR60X10141 should be replaced. This should be all you need. Unplug the unit and remove the ice maker and rear wall. It is rather self explanatory since there are only like two screws that hold the motor in place. Be sure to transfer any rubber grommets if the new motor hasn't got them with it.
