My cooling fan p/n AP2024749 is not running after oven temp reaches 210F degrees as indicated by GE Technical Data sheet. The fan switch p/n AP2023961 is a normally open switch. How do I test the fan motor or switch to determine which part has failed?
ANSWER Hello Matt. You will test and see if the fan switch closes. If so, and the fan does not run, you will need to replace the fan WB26K5045 in the unit. If the switch does not close, replace the switch WB24K5033. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
