Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
I replaced the felt seal on my old GE electric dryer. Was fine for a little bit then terrible clanky noise again. I opened up the top of machine and found the felt seal all bunched up! Is it supposed to be glued down to keep it from being rubbed out? Thanks
You would want to glue into place using part number Y055980. You will also want to be careful not to overload dryer as this is one of the main causes for the felt seal going bad.
