I can do some repairs and I have basic instruments only. I need to replace this filter assembly as my current one is flowing too slow. When I took out the filter, the water was still running from the assembly. I think something is wrong in the assembly unit. Anyways, is it too difficult to change this assembly?

ANSWER Hello Das,
It isn't terribly hard to change this part out, but first you should do a few checks. Turn the water off to the unit and disconnect the water line. Place the water line into a plastic waste basket or bucket. Turn the water back on and make sure you have a good flow and sufficient water pressure. If this checks out good, reattach the waterline to the unit and remove the screws holding the valve to the unit. Hold this over your bucket and have someone hit the button for the water dispense. If you have sufficient water pressure there, every unit comes with a water filter bypass plug. Insert the bypass plug where the filter usually goes and try the water dispense. If the water comes out fine, the water filter probably just needed changed. If the water pressure is still low, then you can proceed to replace the filter tube and assembly.
